SMOJ, that MC is annoying, he accomplished to ruin the whole set. Your last studiomix was of a much better quality anyway, but that guy is by far the #1 reason this one won’t get a replay over here, and that’s a real achievement for a JohnB-set.
About the The Prayer-remix: are songs like that ever going to be released as MP3s? Should make quite a nice remix-album as well if you include songs like Everyone Is Someone In LA, Connected, Learn To Recycle, New Life, Blue Monday, Closer, The Forrest etc.
I dont find the MC that much of a problem TBH. Think the MC was the promoter of the event so theres no much chance of him not Mcing at that gig lol.
You can hear his passion for the songs he likes tho and thats a good thing! I seem to have gained the quality to be able to block out MCing over sets in my head so maybe thats why im not so bothered about it lol

MC FAVA was kinda embarrassed about his MCing too – but he still let me use the recording – we were both seriously knocking back the white wine that night cos it was their Birthday party, so please allow for some drunkenness on the mic (and the decks!)… Just thought the recording captured the vibe of the night – MADNESS in there! (pics on flickr btw).
Got recordings from some other gigs to come soon, without MCing, although I was playing the same sort of tracks cos it was the same week – but I’ll put them up soon too, jsut before I hit you with the mighty new REGULAR studio mix podcasts…
